Red Kuri, Hubbard winter squash

Red Kuri has a smooth-textured flesh and is good for pies and purées because specks of skin (being red) will not show. Also known as Orange Hokkaido.

These are suppose to be delicious right from the field, but they only last in storage a maximum of 3 months as normal storage for a Hubbard is 6 months.

This week...14

The bounty this week green and yellow beans, carrots, zucchini, plobano, basil, lettuce(some received), lunchbox sweet peppers, arugula, onions, bell pepper, kale, pear tomatoes, yellow squash, watermelon or cantaloupe, tomatoes, celery, bak Choy, spaghetti squash, tomatillos (some received), winter kuri squash. Enjoy!

Having fun with Bean!

No more shelling by hand.
